ABOUT ME

BORN
Surronded by the sea and the South Downs in Worthing, West Sussex
EDUCATION
Received a First Class Honours Degree in Textile Design from Northbrook College, West Sussex
UK based designer and artist Rebecca Green believes in bringing the outside world into a home.
I love to be outside surronding myself in nature, whether its breathing in the salty air on the coast or lying in fields of wild flowers in the country.
In every design I create, I try to encapsulate my love for the outdoors with a purpose of evoking a sence of nature in every print, to bring into a home.

LIFE
I spend my free time walking, roadtriping and hiding away in cosy teashops
WORK
I now own my own business designing and making lifetyle good.

PROCESS
I love taking photographs whereever I go which often become the foundation for any design I create. I particularly like taking landscape photography of the beach and countryside but also take close up photos of interesting natural patterns to inspire me later.

Sketchbooks then begin to fill with lots of drawings, mark making and experiments. I use a variety of media when I am creating artwork including fine liners, ink and paints

I then design my patterns digitally and either print them by hand using traditionally printing techniques or digitally.

Then after lots of sampling, cutting and stitiching, my final products are ready to be used and enjoyed.
